Lighting Safety
Electrical products require verified specifications before live purchase. Review voltage, plug type, bulb requirements and wattage on each product page.
Harbor Home Supply sells table lamps, wall sconces, portable lighting and related electrical furnishings. Electrical products carry inherent risks if used incorrectly or without verified specifications. This page explains what we track and when live purchase is blocked.
Specifications we track
Lighting product records may include, where verified:
- Voltage: Operating voltage (e.g., 120V) compatible with your supply.
- Plug type: Connector type for your region (e.g., Type A/B for North American outlets).
- Bulb base and requirements: Socket type and recommended bulb category.
- Maximum wattage: Upper limit for compatible bulbs — do not exceed listed wattage.
- Safety documentation: Supplier safety records where provided and verified.
- Warnings: Product-specific cautions listed on the product page.
Fields showing “Verification required” are incomplete. Do not assume compatibility based on product category alone.
Certification claims
We do not state that a product is UL-listed, ETL-listed or bears any specific safety certification unless that claim appears on the verified product record with supporting documentation. Absence of a certification claim on the product page means the certification status has not been verified for listing on this site.
Live purchase blocking
In live mode, lighting products are blocked from checkout until electrical fields are verified, including voltage, plug type, bulb requirements, maximum wattage and safety documentation. Incomplete records remain visible for reference but cannot be purchased.
This site is currently in demonstration mode. You may add lighting products to cart for exploration, but specifications should be treated as pending until verified for production.
Safe use guidance
- Read and follow all warnings on the product page and any labels included with the product.
- Use only bulbs that match the listed base type and do not exceed maximum wattage.
- Ensure plug type matches your outlets; do not use unapproved adapters.
- Keep cords away from heat, moisture and walkways where they create a trip hazard.
- Wall-mounted fixtures require appropriate mounting hardware and installation — review our Furniture Safety page for mounting guidance.
- Consult a qualified electrician for hardwired installations — we do not provide installation services.
What we do not claim
- We do not guarantee suitability for damp, wet or outdoor locations unless explicitly verified on the product.
- We do not provide electrical installation or wiring advice.
- We do not state child-safe or tamper-resistant properties unless verified on the product record.
